Christina Tompkins, RN

Christina Tompkins has been a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience dedicated to caring for children with complex medical needs.  Her work has centered on supporting medically fragile children and their families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives, always with a commitment to compassion, dignity, and advocacy.

Her passion for this work is deeply personal. After losing her child, Juliann, at the age of 15 years old to Cockayne Syndrome in January 2025, she made it her mission to turn grief into purpose. She has since been actively involved in raising awareness, supporting other families, and advocating for greater recognition of rare conditions. Her efforts contributed to the establishment of Cockayne Syndrome Awareness Month in the state of Pennsylvania, helping to bring visibility to a condition that is often overlooked.

She is committed to advancing care not only at the bedside, but through education, research, and advocacy. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Nursing, with a concentration in education and research, with the goal of influencing future nurses and improving outcomes for children with complex conditions.

At the heart of everything she does is her family. She is a proud mother to her son, Dustin and has been married to her wife, Jemma, for 10 years. They are her constant source of strength and inspiration in both her personal and professional journey.
